    Day 1Marrakech to Dades Valley

    • Total Travel Time: Approximately 6 hours (including short breaks).
    • Description: Start the 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert by leaving Marrakech in the morning, crossing the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). You’ll stop at Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village known for its ancient architecture and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch here, continue to Ouarzazate to explore the town and nearby Skoura palm groves before traveling through the Valley of Roses to reach the Dades Valley.

    Day 2Dades Valley to Merzouga Sahara Desert

    • Total Travel Time: Approximately 6 hours (including breaks and sightseeing).
    • Description: After breakfast, explore the beautiful Dades Gorges and follow the “road of 1000 Kasbahs” through scenic Berber villages. Stop at Tineghir to walk among lush palm groves and explore the dramatic Todra Gorge with its 300m-high cliffs. After lunch, continue the Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour toward the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Upon arrival, embark on a 1.5-hour camel trek at sunset, taking you to a traditional camp within the oasis. Enjoy a night under the stars with drumming, Berber hospitality, and a delicious Moroccan dinner.
    • Overnight: Merzouga desert camp (in traditional tents or under the open sky).

    Day 3Merzouga Desert to Ouarzazate

    • Total Travel Time: Approximately 6 hours (with stops).
    • Description: Wake early to climb the dunes and witness a stunning Sahara sunrise, one of the trip’s highlights. Ride camels back to the edge of the dunes, where you’ll freshen up and have breakfast. Depart Merzouga and head to Rissani, stopping to explore its traditional souks and vibrant market. From there, drive through the scenic Draa Valley with its extensive palm groves before arriving in Ouarzazate for the evening.
    • Overnight: Ouarzazate, at a local hotel.

    Day 4Ouarzazate to Marrakech

    • Total Travel Time: Approximately 6 hours (including breaks).
    • Description: The last day of your 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert begins with a visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique ksar architecture. Enjoy a guided walk before continuing the return drive through the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech.
